The lecture will provide a review of the last 120 years of work on the development and evolution of Thermal Diffusion Galvanizing. Various applications using this technology will be presented.
Speaker’s Biography
Jim Van Wert has had a 40+ year career in R&D and Process development, with 60+ invention records and Patents in primary metals, aerospace, automotive and commercial mechanical piping industries. Jim worked for ALCOA, AMCAST, Ferrari and Victaulic He has a BS degree in Metallurgical Engineering, from University of Texas El Paso, a MS in Aeronautical Engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and a PhD in Material Science from University of Padua Italy. Jim is currently owner of businesses TDA Technology and Diffusion Tek Finishing that are located in the Mound Business Park.
