MOUND MUSEUM LECTURE SERIES SPOTLIGHTS

Summary

This Tech Talk is our first brief look at what we are planning for the new Mound Discovery Center as we introduce a place here in Miamisburg for people to learn:

  • Mound’s achievements and inventive contributions as a Department of Energy Facility
  • Impacts of Mound on the community
  • Details of closure, demolition, and remediation to restore site for re-use
  • 30-year history of Mound 2.0 as the site transitions to commercial endeavors

The new Mound Discovery Center will have interactive exhibits, artifacts on display, and audio/visual displays presenting various topics regarding Mound. We will continue to have our monthly Tech Talks that are open and free to the public as well as our scheduled educational
programs for school groups and others of all ages.

This event will feature some brief presentation examples from a couple of our categories. We are looking for input from the public to help us make the new Mound Discovery Center both entertaining and educational to serve the community.
