MOUND MUSEUM LECTURE SERIES SPOTLIGHTS

Summary

“Today, over 70,000 wind turbines across the U.S. are generating clean, reliable power. This is enough wind power to serve the equivalent of 43 million American homes. Ohio gets 4% of its electricity from wind energy. Iowa gets 60% of its electricity from the wind; more than any other state. How does wind energy work, how do wind turbines function, and what is the history of this power source? Join us for an overview of wind farms and offshore wind power facilities.”
