EXCELITAS MIAMISBURG – 25 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE — The talk will discuss the history, founding, and growth of Excelitas Technologies, Miamisburg:

• from its beginnings as a startup company located at the Miamisburg Mound Government owned site with a few employees
• the success as a company with a few dozen employees designing and building energetic devices for defense and aerospace companies
• the business grew by meeting the needs of our many customers
• through timely mergers and acquisitions the business has grown such that Miamisburg is now the headquarters for the Defense and Aerospace Strategic Business Unit

Doug Benner
Executive Vice President, Defense and Aerospace , Excelitas
Most recently he was Senior Vice President and General Manager for Excelitas Advanced Electronic Systems Division. Prior to his appointment with Excelitas, Mr. Benner spent the previous four years as the Vice President and General Manager of Perkin Elmer’s military/aerospace business. Mr. Benner holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton.

Barry T. Neyer, Ph.D.
Vice President Technology, Energetic Systems, Excelitas
Previously, Dr. Neyer was the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), Advanced Electronics Systems and CTO for Defense at Excelitas Technologies. With PerkinElmer and EG&G Optoelectronics he held the positions of the CTO of Defense, Director of Engineering for Defense, and Director of Engineering for Energetic Systems in Miamisburg, Ohio. Dr. Neyer holds a B.S. in Physics and a M.S. in Mathematics from Xavier University, and both an M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from Stanford University.
