MOUND MUSEUM LECTURE SERIES SPOTLIGHTS

This July the world celebrated the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 and the dramatic moment when Ohioan, Neil Armstrong, planted a boot on the Moon’s surface. This presentation will briefly review the background of Project Apollo, offer a short bio of each of the crewmen, and describe each of the important phases of the mission from lift-off to splashdown. It will conclude by pointing out the noteworthy achievements of that historic mission.

Greg Brown
Greg is the Experience Coordinator at the Armstrong Air & Space Museum in Wapakoneta, Ohio. He has a BA in History and sees himself as a frustrated aerospace engineer. He as been involved with the Museum since 2015. Greg is a veteran of the US Air Force and the US Army. During the Cold War he served as a missile security specialist in the Strategic Air Command at Ellsworth AFB,SD.
