MOUND MUSEUM LECTURE SERIES SPOTLIGHTS
A PARAMEDIC’S LIFE — Karen Basso, RN-M.Ed, a retired Firefighter-Paramedic will be the guest speaker at the WEDNESDAY NIGHT PRESENTATION at the MOUND SCIENCE AND ENERGY MUSEUM on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. The MOUND MUSEUM is located at 1075 Mound Rd., Miamisburg, Ohio. Program starts at 7:00 PM. Her topic will be “A Paramedic’s Life.” It is a brief look into the mission, life and work of Paramedics. Paramedics provide out of hospital medical care in the wilderness, the battlefield, the big city and everything in between.
Ms. Basso is a retired Firefighter-Paramedic who began her career in 1985. Alongside her 25 plus year fire career she worked as a Registered Nurse in the Intensive Care and Emergency Departments. She currently works as adjunct faculty for Sinclair Community College teaching in the Fire Science and Allied Health Programs.
Come ride along and explore the training, the joyful and painful moments, and real life examples of life saving work of a Paramedic, on Wed. Feb. 24, at the MOUND SCIENCE AND ENERGY MUSEUM.
